You have ten things to do…
…but can only focus on the top three.

I handle the other seven.

I come in as an executive advisor or special project executive. I act as your extension on execution, systems, research, hiring, team issues, partnerships, operations, and loose ends that need to be done to a high standard.

How I help

Strategic execution

I sort whatever needs to be sorted: people issues, special initiatives, operational transformation, partnerships, vendors, board and investor prep, and cross-functional efforts. I oversee stuff, build teams, lead teams, and serve as your sounding board.

Research & intelligence

I get you the information you need to make decisions: market scans, competitive mapping, innovation scouting, partner vetting, investor and policy research, and risky scenario planning. This work has supported over a billion dollars in client decisions across 20+ markets.

Systems & infrastructure

I design and build the operational backbone that reduces preventable blunders and enables execution at speed: workflows, automation, dashboards, policies, risk mitigation plans, work standards, operations manuals, reporting, surveys, retrospectives, and decision systems.

Hiring & team building

I use a rigorous hiring process. I make a competency dictionary for every role, prepare interview questions, and test assignments. I give all candidates the test, interview them, note what they say, score each candidate, check references, and give selected candidates actual work to see if competencies still show and what it's like to work with them.

Purging bozos

I identify and remove people who are misaligned, underperforming, or toxic. This starts with assessing the current team, removing the wrong people, and hiring people who fit. It's the first step toward protecting your mission and your excellent performers.

Partner sourcing & vetting

I research and vet as many suppliers and potential partners as needed. For one project, I visited 30 firms personally. The supplier must tick every box on competence, management, integrity, and fit. I produce a shortlist and then step aside or help you onboard them.

Many companies do this internally but rarely with the same level of organization and thoroughness.

Selected work

Startup recovery after co-founder coup attempt

Helped a first-time founder with the turnaround while she dealt with her co-founder who attempted a coup. I vetted and removed misaligned contributors, took on competitive research and initial R&D (user stories, UI sketches, and technical research), connected the founder with domain experts, vetted new talent, and provided ongoing advisory and hands-on support.

Global research team and data platforms at a strategy firm

Built and led the research function supporting over a billion dollars in client decisions across 20+ markets. Designed proprietary AI-driven data platforms (pre-LLM) that reduced analysis time by 70% and increased accuracy to 95%. Ensured 100% on-time delivery through years of high-pressure work for demanding clients.

Operations automation at a trucking company

Built and deployed automation for a trucking company to extract and process data from rate confirmations, bills of lading, and invoices. This freed the impacted team from a previously full-time manual data entry task and enabled them to focus on customer communication and driver coordination and training.

Long-term clients marvel at how I get them what they need even before they ask.

Who this fits

I work best with founders and CEOs who:

  • Play to win
  • Move fast
  • Delegate
  • Are relentless
  • Have a purpose
  • Reject mediocrity

“Over the best part of a decade, working across two companies and more than a hundred projects, Vladimir always delivered what he promised to a high and exacting standard. In an environment characterised by high uncertainty, the one constant was his reliability which became a byword in the organisation. He never missed a deadline.” — Dominic Pride, CEO, Upstart Breakthrough Strategy; former Marketing Director, Shazam
“I’m someone who believes there is always room for improvement, but I am finding it difficult to provide any pointers as the work was superb.” — Colette Langan, Biopharma Global Commercial Ops Consultant
“Ruthlessly efficient.” — Troy Norcross, Enterprise Product Director

Co-founded an AI market intelligence startup that was acquired. Directed 15+ multi-site office setups and enterprise data and system migrations with zero downtime. Led product architecture and remote technical teams for SaaS and mobile applications across seven countries. Delivered 100% on-time across years of high-pressure work for demanding clients.
